Check out this video showing how researchers used Tweats to determine the mood of the country and individual states.

A few highlights from the research:
  • The "early morning and late evening" have the "highest level of happiness."
  • The West coast is "significantly happier" than the East coast
  • Weekends are "much happier" than weekdays.

First of all - what a really cool representation! Having students create such a map would be an excellent way to get them 'thinking' conceptually and analyzing data and then finding an interesting way to impart it to others. It would have been helpful to have a color key of some type - it's also helpful to watch more than once!
And, it appears 'happiness' occurs around most of the nation's non-work hours ;-)
