While the online blog book tour for Learning in 3D is going extremely well, it is important to note that the authors can be seen live and on the web talking about virtual immersive environments for learning as well.

January 19, 2009
Tony O'Driscoll will be headlining the LIFE SCIENCES 2010: The Global Collaboration Imperative sponsored by ProtonMedia and Microsoft. This is an invitation only event but you can get an invite by mentioning you saw the post on here on Kapp Notes. Learn more about the Life Sciences 2010 event here.
Karl Kapp will be keynoting the same day at the Bloomfield College Faculty Technology Showcase. The keynote is called "Understanding Digital Diversity" which will discuss the influence of games, virtual worlds and Web 2.0 technologies on today's learner and their in classroom and out of classroom expectations.
Also on January 19th from 10:30AM to 11:30AM Pacific Time Karl Kapp will be presenting for the eLearning Guild in their Thought Leader Webinar Series a presentation titled Learning in 3D: Adding a New Dimension to Enterprise Learning and Collaboration (Tony will be travelling home from his morning session in Malvern, PA and will be unable to make the webinar). Tony O'Driscoll and I are going to join Anders Gronstedt, President of The Gronstedt Group at his Train for Success Session. The session will take place from 9.00-10.00 am PT (noon-1.00 pm ET/18.00-19.00 CET) We will meet in Second Life and tour around one of the examples from the book. Please join us for this interesting session in a 3D virtual world.

Karl Kapp will be presenting at Learning Tree International's Learning Leader's Forum on the topic of "Innovations in Technology and the Impact on Organizational Learning" in the Washington DC area for a breakfast meeting. Hoping to meet up with some alumni the evening before for a mini-reunion.

Karl Kapp will be presenting "Learning in 3D: Using Virtual Immersive Environments to add a New Dimension to Enterprise Learning" on Friday, January 29 from 10:00AM-11:30AM at the ASTD TechKnowledge Conference in session FR203 and would love to catch up with folks there as well.

Tony O'Driscoll will be presenting a keynote titled "Learning in 3D: How Web 2.0 is Changing The Game for Learning" from 4:15 to 5:30. He will also be signing some books so stop by and get a book signed.
